180524-N-PO132-182 OKINAWA, Japan (May 24, 2018) Sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 use rakes and shovels to remove excess concrete off the truss screed as it levels the surface of freshly placed concrete. NMCB-5 is the forward deployed Pacific NMCB ready to support major combat operations and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations, and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces.
