Black, widow of the first master chief petty officer of the Navy Delbert Black, is piped aboard the Naval Station Mayport Chief Petty Officer Club. Black was in Mayport to transfer the combination cover of her husband to Ian Thompson, the prospective command master chief of the future guided-missile destroyer USS Delbert Black (DDG 119).
