180507-N-ER806-0617 SAN DIEGO (May 7, 2018) Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Michael Barrera, assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, meets his daughter for the first time upon the ship's return to its homeport, Naval Base Coronado. Theodore Roosevelt departed San Diego, Oct. 6 and spent the deployment supporting Operations Inherent Resolve and Freedom’s Sentinel, as well as maritime security cooperation efforts in U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operations.
