180419-M-AV740-167 HALTDALEN, Norway (April 18, 2018) Marines and Sailors assigned to Marine Rotational Force-Europe 18.1 invade an enemy trench while conducting a live-fire platoon attack exercise during winter warfare training at Haltdalen Training Center in Norway. More than 70 Sailors and Marines spent three weeks in the Norwegian wilderness learning cold weather survival techniques taught by Norwegian Soldiers from Home Guard 12 and conducted multiple day and night live-fire squad and platoon attack exercises.
