180415-M-DL117-0277 MEDITERRANEAN SEA (April 15, 2018) An MV-22 Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 263, Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa, lands aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) during routine flight deck operations. The flight deck operations certify the Osprey pilots to land on an LPD during open ocean operations and work with Navy landing support while deployed to U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
