180412-N-HT134-080 SAN DIEGO (April 12, 2018) Sailors assigned to the deck department of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) attach the mooring lines of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) as it returns from a scheduled deployment. America is moored at its homeport of Naval Base San Diego and is conducting a planned maintenance availability in preparation for its next tour of duty.
