180410-N-VG727-113 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 10, 2018) Sailors handle a phone and distance line on the forecastle of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) during a replenishment-at-sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO 199). Dewey, assigned to the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG), is on a scheduled deployment in the Indo-Pacific region to support training under the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s Up-Gunned ESG concept and to serve as a forward multi-mission asset for any type of contingency.
