180328-N-PH222-0663 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 28, 2018) Marines, assigned to 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, embarked aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), board a vessel during a simulated maritime reaction force visit, board, search and seizure exercise. Anchorage is underway with the13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU) for an amphibious squadron and MEU integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and 13th MEU, which allows Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
