180328-N-PH222-0359 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 28, 2018) Marines assigned to 1st Reconnaissance Battalion and Sailors assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 1 disembark the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23) during a simulated maritime reaction force visit, board, search and seizure exercise. Anchorage is underway with 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) for an amphibious squadron and MEU integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and 13th MEU, which allows Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
