180323-N-RY670-424 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 23, 2018)Sailors and Marines assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU) unload an M1A1 Abrams tank in the well deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) during an amphibious squadron and MEU integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a two-week training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and the 13th MEU, which allow Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
