180323-N-RY670-010 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 23, 2018) A landing craft, air cushion assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 enters the well deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) during an amphibious squadron and Marine expeditionary unit (MEU) integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a two-week training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and the 13th MEU, which allow Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
