180321-N-RI884-0052 PHILIPPINE SEA (March 21, 2018) Sailors aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) participate in a Warfare Rodeo, getting training and signatures required toward their Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS), Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist (EAWS), and Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist (EIWS) qualifications. Wasp, part of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU), is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners, serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency and advance the Up-Gunned ESG Concept.
