(March 16, 2018) Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Steven Giordano (left) presents his coin to Chief Operations Specialist Jocolbia Johnson, a Recruit Division Commander (RDC) at the Navy’s only boot camp, Recruit Training Command (RTC). MCPON visited RTC to see changes in curriculum to a more intensive hands-on training and to thank the RDCs and facilitators providing the new training to recruits. Training includes physical fitness, seamanship, firearms, firefighting and shipboard damage control along with lessons in Navy heritage and core values, teamwork and discipline.
