180315-N-FN963-0190 SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 15, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Jarid Davis, rear, and Seaman Katerina Vaughn, lift a cargo hook towards an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the “Scorpions” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49, during vertical replenishment qualification on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104). Sterett is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
