180305-N-NB142-187 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 5, 2018) An MH-60S Seahawk helicopter assigned to the “Blackjacks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21 prepares to receive ordnance from the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) with the America-class amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). Essex Amphibious Readiness Group (ARG) is completing the Navy’s first full-length ARG Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercise. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) and is designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality, and interoperability of participating units.
