(Feb. 27, 2018) Navy Diver 2nd Class Cody Greer, assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2, prepares his gear prior to conducting dive training at an indoor training facility onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Ft. Story. MDSU-2's primary mission is to direct highly mobile, fully trained and equipped Mobile Diving and Salvage Companies to perform combat harbor clearance/search and expeditionary salvage operations including diving, salvage, repair, assistance, and demolition in ports or harbors and at sea aboard U.S. Navy, Military Sealift Command or commercial vessels of opportunity in wartime or peacetime.
