180223-N-PP197-1017 GUAM (Feb. 23, 2018) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Jacob Ward, assigned to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25, observes a Mark VI patrol boat assigned to Coastal Riverine Group 1, Det. Guam, during a search and rescue exercise off the coast of Guam. HSC-25 maintains a 24-hour search and rescue and medical evacuation alert posture, directly supporting the U.S. Coast Guard, Sector Guam, and Joint Region Marianas. CRG-1, Det. Guam is capable of conducting maritime security operations across the full spectrum of naval, joint and combined operations. Further, it provides additional capabilities of port security, embarked security, and theater security cooperation around the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
