180122-M-LK477-677 KANEOHE BAY, Hawaii (Jan. 22, 2018) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Garret Dearing, a special operations independent duty corpsman with 4th Force Reconnaissance, Delta Company, Hawaii Detachment, observes a student during a run, fin, run training event at Davie Point, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The event consisted of a two kilometer fin and a 2.5 mile run, which had to be completed in less than 90 minutes. The unit’s training program aims to prepare students for the stresses of the Basic Reconnaissance Course by offering a broad, realistic curriculum, challenging them both mentally and physically.
