Tonnerre, with embarked Marines and Sailors from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU)and Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (TF 51/5) is conducting maritime security operations within the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure regional stability, freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce.
