180114-N-BD308-0085 SASEBO, Japan (Jan. 14, 2018) Air Traffic Controller 1st Class Mark Grenda assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) reunites with his daughter after mooring in Sasebo, Japan. The Wasp, capable of operating the U.S. Marine Corp's F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, will replace USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) as the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
