180112-N-NR803-075 PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Jan. 12, 2018) Sailors walk out to an empty field to begin their physical training (PT) session as part of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course capstone. The physical training session simulates the physical exertion corpsmen commonly face on the battlefield before entering into a situation where they could potentially treat wounded. TCCC is a course required by the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery for all corpsmen that helps prepare them to respond to the injuries in theater and on the battlefield.
