191227-N-XK887-0971 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Dec. 27, 2019) Seabees deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 Detail Diego Garcia work alongside civilian contractors to place concrete for the ninth and final concrete pad for the foundation of a tension fabric structure requested by the U.S. Air Force. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
