191215-N-PE825-0053 ROTA, Spain (Dec. 15, 2019) A Seabee assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11 guides a medium tactical vehicle replacement cargo truck off the Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Yuma (T-EPF 8) prior to beginning their field training exercise (FTX). An FTX is an around the clock exercise which tests a battalion’s capability to perform scheduled tasking in the midst of extreme adversity. NMCB-11 is currently forward deployed to Rota, Spain in support of Commander, Task Force (CTF) 68, to provide expeditionary construction and engineering capabilities, humanitarian assistance, disaster response, and exercise related construction for the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
