191210-N-VR594-1020 APRA HARBOR, Guam (Dec. 10, 2019) The Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Key West (SSN 722) steams toward the harbor in preparation for a mobile logistics demonstration with the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd. The demonstration is designed to evaluate the supply ship’s ability to sustain submarine operations in an expeditionary setting.
