191125-N-ZW591-1008 SASEBO, Japan (Nov.25, 2019) Construction Electrician 2nd Class Brandon Rivera, from Victorville, California, and Utilitiesman 3rd Class Jaime Orobio, from Houston, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, Detail Sasebo, fill sand bags in preparation for the concrete placement at the seawall repair project on board Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo to further improve the base’s military readiness and capability. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
