Kentaro Sakabe, executive officer of the Akizuki-class destroyer JS Suzutsuki (DD 117), uses a pair of binoculars on the port bridge wing as the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69) is underway in formation during Annual Exercise (ANNUALEX) 19. Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15 is currently participating in ANNUALEX 19, an annual, bilateral exercise which further develops coordination and interoperability of the premier alliance between the U.S. Navy and JSMDF.
