191105-M-PY691-007 OKINAWA, Japan (Nov. 5, 2019) Hospital corpsmen assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), pararescuemen assigned to the 31st Rescue Squadron and Army 18-D medics assigned to 1-1 Special Forces Group perform a trauma assessment on a casualty during an exercise at Kin Blue training area in Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 5, 2019. The battalion field exercise allowed CLB-31 to hone their combat logistics and live-fire capabilities in support of future 31st MEU operations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
