(Nov. 3, 2019) Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3 escort simulated contaminated Seabees to a mission-oriented protective posture gear exchange point for a simulated chemical, biological and radiological decontamination drill during NMCB-3’s field training exercise (FTX). The battalion is conducting Operation Bearing Duel FTX that prepares and tests the battalion’s ability to enter a hostile location, build assigned construction projects and defend against enemy attacks using realistic scenarios while being evaluated by Naval Construction Group 1.
