USS Lassen 2019-2020 Deployment
191024-N-RJ834-0011 MUSCAT, OMAN (Oct. 24, 2019) Quartermaster Seaman Lorena RosaMolina reads surface bearings using a telescopic alidade aboard the the guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82), while pulling into Muscat, Oman for a scheduled port visit. Lassen is part of the East Coast Surface Action Group and is operating in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
