191024-N-AD086-1004 SANTA RITA, Guam (Oct. 24, 2019) Construction Electrician 3rd Class Maryjoy Ortiz, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 Detail Tinian, sweeps leftover debris off the roof of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5’s newly constructed Boat Storage Facility after grinding the concrete with concrete stones to ensure there are no rough edges. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
