191012-N-OH194-1233 TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 12, 2019) Gregory J. Slavonic, 18th assistant secretary of the Navy for manpower and reserve affairs, administers the oath of enlistment to future Sailors from Navy Recruiting District Dallas during halftime of a football game between the U.S. Naval Academy and Tulsa University. Slavonic is participating in an Executive Engagement Visit (EEV) to Tulsa, Oklahoma and surrounding areas. EEV’s, managed by Navy Office of Community Outreach, are two-day outreach visits performed by Navy Flag Officers and members of the Senior Executive Service. The visits are comprised of engagements with corporate executives, government officials, education leaders, local media, veterans organizations, and civic groups.
