191011-N-SS432-0011 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 11, 2019) Sailors assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2 conduct modified start-ups on a recompression chamber aboard the Safeguard-class salvage ship USNS Grasp (T-ARS 51) during Triggerfish 2019, a U.S. 3rd Fleet-led mission that employs expeditionary forces to conduct hydrographic surveys and clear hazards to navigation in the Federated States of Micronesia. UCT-2 ensures a free and open Indo-Pacific by providing waterfront and underwater engineering, construction, repair, and inspection in support of Navy and Marine Corps operations and is capable of performing complex inshore and deep ocean underwater construction tasks.
