191009-M-EC058-1414 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Oct. 9, 2019) A CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), retrieves an AV-8B Harrier Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine from the Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO-204) during a vertical replenishment-at-sea. The Marines and Sailors of the 11th MEU are deployed to the 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners, and allies, and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
