191008-N-TP877-2105 SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 8, 2019) Chief petty officers assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25), the littoral combat ship USS Charleston (LCS 18) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) talk with a member of American Legion Cathay Post 384 at a special luncheon for the troops during San Francisco Fleet Week 2019 (SFFW). This event is an opportunity for active duty servicemembers to share stories with veterans and enjoy a home-cooked meal while in port for Fleet Week activities. SFFW is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard teams and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of San Francisco and its surrounding areas (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Benjamin K.
