Jon Grant, commanding officer of Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo, hosts a delegation of 18 Polish mayors and lawmakers from the surrounding region Oct. 2, 2019. The purpose of the delegation’s visit is to learn more about the Aegis Ashore mission, see the construction progress and gain a better understanding about the partnerships with the surrounding community. Once construction is completed, the Aegis Ashore site in Poland will expand a defensive capability that protects NATO European territories, populations and forces against ballistic missiles launched from outside the Euro-Atlantic region.
