190916-N-BM428-0006 ENGLISH CHANNEL (Sept. 16, 2019) Royal Navy sailors come aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) for the first day of Flag Officer’s Sea Training (FOST), Sept. 16, 2019. FOST is a three-week exercise lead by the Royal Navy that tests the ship’s warfighting ability. Donald Cook, forward deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its ninth patrol in the U.S. 6th fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
