190913-N-AD347-0053 SASEBO, Japan (Sept. 13, 2019) Recently pinned chief petty officers from the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ships: USS Pioneer (MCM 9), USS Patriot (MCM 7), USS Warrior (MCM 10), USS Chief (MCM 14), and Mine Countermeasures Squadron 7, are recognized for their accomplishment. Mine Countermeasures Squadron 7 is operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response platform for contingency operations.
