The Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) medical training exercise utilizes the same skills that are critical for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions while also integrating hospital corpsman from Fleet Surgical Team 9, Combat Logistics Battalion 15 and Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel are participating in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
