190906-N-KL795-008 BREMERTON, Wash. (Sept. 6, 2019) Navy chief petty officers and chief petty officer selects gather for CPO Pride Day at Evergreen Rotary Park in Bremerton, Washington. Sailors who are selected for promotion to chief petty officer go through six weeks of initiation training, to include leadership and physical training. The process helps them become better suited in their new roles as senior enlisted leaders. CPO Pride Day is an annual gathering of Pacific Northwest Region Chiefs and Chief Selects to honor those who have gone before, to celebrate Chief Petty Officers past and present, and to train the reliefs.
