190830-N-SS350-1003 ARABIAN GULF (Aug 30, 2019) Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Kevin Brown, assigned to the “Grandmasters” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 46, inspects the flight control cables of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96). Bainbridge is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
