190824-N-TG517-054 NORFOLK (Aug. 24, 2019) Retired Fleet Master Chief Susan Whitman presents a historical presentation about the role of women in the U.S. Navy aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64). The presentation was provided for groups of chief petty officer (CPO) selects during the 19th Annual CPO Heritage Days event held August 20-22, 2019. The event is the largest and longest running event for new CPO selects in the Hampton Roads area and attracts over 850 CPO selects from over 50 area and out of state commands each year.
