190815-N-PJ626-5666 PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 15, 2019) The Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) sails alongside the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) guided-missile destroyer JS Myoko (DDG-175) while underway. The Navy and JMSDF regularly operate, train and exercise together to improve interoperability and strengthen joint capabilities.
