190806-N-CL027-1208 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Aug. 6, 2019) Capt. Pat Hannifin, right, commanding officer of the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), gives a tour of the bridge to Philippine navy Commodore Toribio Adaci, commander of the Fleet-Marine Ready Force. Adaci was among a group of distinguished visitors including Maj. Gen. Erickson Gloria, deputy chief of staff, armed forces of the Philippines, and Mr. Toby Purisima, the Philippines’ assistant secretary of civil defense, who observed flight operations during a tour of the ship. The enduring U.S.-Philippine relationship is a staple of peace and security in a free and open Indo-Pacific Region. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, protects the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
