190803-N-UA460-0042 SURABAYA, Indonesia (Aug. 3, 2019) U.S. and Indonesian navy public affairs officers and members of the U.S. Navy 7th Fleet Band ensemble, Orient Express, speak to Widya, a radio host for Suara Surabaya FM 100’s Kelana Kota Suara Surabaya radio program, during a live broadcast as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training Indonesia (CARAT) 2019. The service members visited the studio to talk about CARAT and perform an on-air rendition of an Indonesian song. This year marks the 25th iteration of CARAT, a multinational exercise designed to enhance U.S. and partner navies' abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
