190802-N-DS741-2784 ARABIAN SEA (Aug. 2, 2019) Electronics Technician 2nd Class Evan Curry, front, and Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Dylan DiGiovanni hook a cargo pennant to an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter attached the “Nightdippers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 5 during a vertical replenishment with the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8) while aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55). Leyte Gulf is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet areas of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
