190725-N-WO291-934 SAN DIEGO (July 25, 2019) Seabees from Underwater Construction Team One (UCT 1) and Underwater Construction Team Two (UCT 2) are instructed by Offshore Petroleum Distribution System (OPDS) instructor, Steve Sako, while rigging the 4.9 ton submersible distribution hose for towing in preparation and sinking of the single anchor leg mooring system (SALM). The SALM is part of OPDS, designed as a semi-permanent delivery system that provides large volume of refined petroleum to service components over a sustained period of time. UCT 1 and UCT 2 attended the three week OPDS technical trainer at the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific in preparation of an upcoming 3rd Fleet Joint Logistics Over The Shore Exercise.
