190718-N-PS962-1050 NORFOLK (July 18, 2019) Two Sailors assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) wave and gesture a thumbs up as they return home from deployment. Kearsarge was the flagship of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group during the deployment. The Kearsarge ARG was deployed in support of maritime security operations, crisis response and theater security cooperation, while providing a forward naval presence.
