190711-N-RI884-1213 CORAL SEA (July 11, 2019) Mass Communication Specialist Seaman Apprentice David Glotzbach, from Muskegon, Michigan, photographs a ship formation including Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), as they transit alongside the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) as part of Talisman Sabre 2019. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently participating in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
