190709-N-WI365-2078 TASMAN SEA (July 09, 2019) Damage Controlman Fireman Cody Shue, from Pueblo, Colorado, transfers supplies across the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) prior to a replenishment-at-sea with the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204). Ashland, part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently participating in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
