190703-N-DS741-2010 ARABIAN SEA (July 3, 2019) Personnel Specialist 2nd Class Cynthia Virostek, from Columbus, Ohio, assigned to the administration department aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55), removes the chalk and chains from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter from the “Nightdippers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 5, assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), during a vertical replenishment with the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AO 8). Leyte Gulf is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet areas of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
